Please join us for our annual fall seminar with Mary Heiny. This is a unique opportunity to receive Mary’s teaching in an intimate seminar surrounded by the beauty of Vermont’s October foliage. Part of this seminar will offer a unique opportunity to explore kotodama chanting with technique.

Two Months Of Aikido – With Uniform – $80

Sign up for two months of Aikido for beginners at River Valley Aikido. For $80 you will get a Uniform and classes up to three days a week. Enrollment is ongoing, new students can begin anytime.

Tuesday class from 6-7 will focus on basic attacks, Aikido techniques, core strength exercises, and Aikido terminology. Anyone 14 years and up is welcome to join. Other classes throughout the week will have a more advanced focus, but all are welcome to attend.

If you’d like to read up on aikido, please take a look at the Dojo Handbook. Feel free to register in advance so RVA can get the correct uniform size in stock by selecting the correct size from the chart below and mailing in the completed Registration Form with your payment.

Starting September 4th River Valley Aikido will be offering two Saturday classes, 10am-11am for beginners and 11am-noon with Don. Anyone interested is welcome to attend, beginners are especially welcome from 10am-11am.

This workshop, led by Charles Colten Sensei (3rd Dan), will focus primarily on Musubi (connection) and soft high-fall Ukemi in the context of Aikido principles and technique.

Mary Heiny Seminar

We are keeping this seminar limited to 27 people so that each person has the maximum opportunity to receive the benefit of Mary’s unique and insightful teaching. Anyone wishing to both broaden and deepen their Aikido practice should consider attending this seminar.

The weekend will fill up quickly so anyone wanting to attend should register as soon as possible.

Welcome to River Valley Aikido. Our Dojo was established in 1992 in Brattleboro, Vermont. We are dedicated to traditional Aikido training with an emphasis on personal development, both spiritual and physical.

We invite you to visit us and train. Beginners are always welcome and train at their own pace. We are located in a beautifully renovated church not far from Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.

Membership dues are purposefully affordable ($30/month) with special rates offered to students and families.
